Shane had the opportunity to go to Alaska (his dream hunt) and stay with friends that live there at least until Tues. and then they will be our next door neighbors. It was a great chance to go because he didn't have to pay a guide fee, which you normally pay as a non resident to hunt on their turf. He was happy to have gotten this monster after ten days of being away from us and a nine hour four wheeler ride in. He also had the chance to catch some silver salmon, which will be awesome on the bbq. Thank you Matt for being Shane's alaskan guide! It was a long ten days and we are glad to have him home, at least until the next hunting adventure...

Two questions--did he bring his "monster" home, and how in the world did he get it here? Amazing!
of course he brought it home, took nine hours to cut all up and package and freeze for the airplane ride back. Yummy! a whole freezer full.
Fun for Shane!!! That must have been a long ten days! lol
Nice job Shane - would it kill you to smile? LOL!!

Super job Shane!! I have to admit I love Moose meat....
However, I hear you 'paid' for it big time later...(losing your tools to a hijacker). Sooo sorry.
