What a Great Day...

Wonderful Gifts up close...
Two Jinormous balloon bouquets and two bouquets of flowers. Lucky me!

sporting St. Patricks attire from a friend
The big day started out with a phone call from my dad and Julie in China, he sent me a gift cert. for a massage, that will come in handy. Mail came with birthday card cash from my Memmott family in Utah, then out to lunch with some friends which we always have a blast. Followed by flower delivery from visiting teachers, 20 balloon delivery from mom in Bountiful, and lots of presents from my friends! Shane came home from work with a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses...we went out to a nice restaurant to celebrate with the kids and my brother and his girlfriend. Finally lots of phone messages when we got home wishing me a happy birthday!
I had such a great day! Thank you to my wonderful family and friends for a GREAT DAY!

Berry Pudding Salad

I went to our enrichment activity last night and they did a mini cooking class, easy and on a budget...thought I would share this yummy recipe:

1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding (leave in packet)
1 lg. 32 oz. container vanilla yogurt
1 8oz. container Cool Whip
1 small-medium size bag of frozen mixed berries

Wisk Yogurt and dry pudding together (sets up fast). Stir until dissolved. Mix in cool whip, add frozen berries and chill until served. Kids love it! Great to take into a neighbor or friend with dinner.

Signs of SPRING...

Ledger bundled up in the stroller...with a smile!
Ryker and his favorite spring time toy!

Ryker modeling the frog that didn't jump away...(Check out that cougar to the left)

Six froggies under one rock...yeah warm weather!
It was such a nice day yesterday, Ryker and I had spring fever! We decided to go for a walk around the yard and see when spring would be here.
We always head for the stepping stones around the left side of the house in search for frogs.
The first rock we pulled up SIX frogs...Ryker was so excited he tried to catch them all at once, by the time I got the camera out all but one jumped away. Luckily we found them again when sissy got home from school. They put them all on a swing and swung the frogs
back and forth until I saw one of them throw up...back under the rock they went.
I LOVE SPRING...THE COUNTDOWN IS ON...THE FROGGIES ARE OUT TO PLAY!

Valentine's Weekend in Island Park

We went to Island Park for the weekend with some friends and stayed in their cabin. We had a great time. Saturday we went into West Yellowstone, went to the Imax and then out for pizza...which was very Romantic for Valentine's Day. (That's when Hallie lost her front tooth)
Then we came home for a yummy steak and potatoe dinner, watched a movie and stayed up late. Sunday we lounged around, ate, lounged, ate some more and lounged, we had a lot of fun. Snowmobile riding and lots of snow! It ended too soon for a four hour drive, but it was worth getting out of the house.

Our Little Thief

Ryker learned a valuable lesson today (I hope)... We had to get some fabric at JoAnn's for Hallie's sewing class. I had all three kids and we were finding something Hallie would like. Meanwhile Ryker found some very appealing red thread he thought he would give to uncle Matt for his birthday today, he stuffed it into his pant pocket, unbenoesed to me. We found some fabric finally and I was hurrying home, two kids teasing each other in the back seat and a baby crying because he's hungry (shocker). I had just unloaded the car seat when Hallie came running out to tell me Ryker stole some thread from the store. Letting out a big sye and very angry at the same time knowing I had to take him back down there, I told him he might have to go to jail (what a great mom, what was I thinking???) We headed back down, I was giving him the lecture the whole way there. I think he had a harder time telling them he was sorry and that he would never do it again, than worrying about a jail cell. But he must have been a little worried because he asked me if they were going to spank his bum. I hate when things like this happen, your heart breaks when they can bearly get out a sorry from the tears, but I hope he never does it again knowing next time they might not be so nice.

Blessing Day...

Ledger ready for his big day.
Me and My Grandparents

Shane and his Mom and Dad

The best big sissy ever!

What a wonderful day we had on this special occasion for Ledger. We had lots of family come from Utah, the Millers and lots of friends. It was so nice to have so much love and support. Shane did a fantastic job with the blessing, like an ole' pro! Then I got up and boobed through my testimony. I just can't talk about my beautiful family without showing emotion. Ledger slept all through the meeting, thank goodness. Shane got nervous when he became fussy getting ready. Hallie and Ryker had so much fun playing with cousins. We had a wonderful luncheon at the house following the meeting. It was nice just to enjoy each other's company.
We're so blessed to live in this dispensation to have the gospel in our lives. What would life be like without the truth, knowing we can be a family forever, to get to live with Him once again.
We sure missed those that couldn't make it, hope you enjoy the pictures.
(once again my camera stinks, my birthday is just around the corner...yippee new camera, here I come)

Kids Say The Darndest Things:

We stopped by a resturaunt tonight and they had quite a few lobsters in a tank.
Ryker walks over, takes a long look and comes to ask Shane...
Can we cut those "bandaids" off the lobster claws so we can watch them fight?
I laughed for an hour, he is our sword fighter, kung fu panda man, karate kicker...the list goes on with this almost four year old!

Happy Birthday Shaner!

Yummy cake and ice cream with the kids
He got a charger for his four wheeler, a new pair of hunting boots from the kids and lots of birthday money from his family. We had a great celebration with friends at Canyon Creek Resturant. (If you haven't been it is fabulous). Then came home for cake and ice cream with the kids. His cell phone rang off the hook from family and friends all day. Who would of thought 35! It comes so fast. Hope you had a great day, we love you babe!
