Ledgie (what Ryker calls him) had a well check up and got shots on Thurs. morning for his four month. Weighing in at 18.5 pounds, "he is a very healthy and happy baby" the doc says. He seemed to have taken the shots well, until we got home. Around 5:30 he screamed and screamed until he went to bed at eight. Next day, screamed and screamed, up at 6 am and I couldn't do anything to calm him down. Overdosed him with tylenol and went back into the doctor, thinking it was something else. Of course, good ole St. Lukes couldn't find anything wrong and printed me off this paper that said 1 in 900 has a reaction and has crying spells for up to three hours at a time. Oh goodie we are the 1. That check up made for a very LONG weekend, but it is Sunday and he is doing a little better. Make a long story short, to heck with immunizations!!!Sunday, April 26, 2009

Three weeks with my brother
I just read this book for our Releif Society Sisterhood and Stories book club and WOW! If you have some time to read this summer this is a great one. Nicholas Sparks had a hard life, lost his mom, dad and little sister. Shows you how to take nothing for granted, and having a great attitute towards life's challenges. I usually don't have time to read but this was worth it. If you would like to borrow mine, your welcome to!Should I be Concerned???
(No, this is not me...yet)Just wanted to know if this was normal or not? I am loosing massive amounts of hair. Everytime I wash it, handfuls of hair go down the drain. Lots in my brushes and on the bathroom floor. I know I just had a baby but this never happened with my other two? I asked Shane if he thought it was unusual and he said "I don't know, but I do know I don't want a bald wife." (helpful...) Just wondering if anyone has had this too or a thought would be great!

I LOOOOOVE Productive Saturdays!
The day began at 8 am, Shane mowed the lawn, we then went to Hallie's soccer game in the 50 mph wind (windy only at the soccer field???), came home from that to go to Jen's house to pick up tables from a yard sale she had with my stuff there too. (made 250.00, yippee) came home and tilled the garden a third time and planted potatoes, carrots, onions, radishes, and peas! The rest has to wait until May, which is killing me, I want it all done now. Moved into the garage by taking everything out, filling two dumpsters full and putting half of it back in. Left two full shelving units open for food storage ONLY! We'll see how long that will last, then inside to get ready for Hallie's sewing program, to show families what their children had made over the last year, finally I picked Shane up and we flew to the Stake Center for adult Stake Conference. It was fabulous, they talked about raising your kids in these tough times. I love productive Saturdays. They make my heart sing, to acomplish so much in one day, if only I could do this every day!

Happy Birthday Little Sis!!!

This is me and my little sister Michelle. It is her birthday today, and I just wanted to share some thoughts that I remember when we were young...we are thirteen months apart to the day (what was mom thinking?) we were very close growing up, she was so fun to hang out with, very popular in high school and I ended up dating whoever she left behind. We loved to lay out on our trampoline covered in baby oil, we did some modeling together, sluff school together, got grounded together, she always was my friend and looked out for me. She now lives in Hawaii and has a great husband and three beautiful boys. So I don't see her often but I wanted her to know I am thinking of her on her special day! We have been through a lot and I love you sis!

Relief Society Birthday Celebration!

For our Relief Society Birthday Celebration last night we did a theme of Zions Place Mall. We had 5 different mini classes and food venues in the gym just like the mall. It was such a fun idea. We passed around sign ups for the food and got a great turn out. Here are the pictures of the food venues: we also had Pizzeria (Costco pizza), Garden Cafe (salads), Mrs. Fields (cookies and treats), Subway (foot longs cut into fourths), Cinnabon (cinnamon rolls). I decorated the tables with lots of different shopping bags filled with tissue paper and balloons floating above. I through out confetti and scrunched up paper money for the shopping effect.
The mini classes were all shopping stores: Bath and Body (taking care of your body), Toys R Us (we are children of God), Kay Jewelers (no two diamonds are alike-talents), Swensen's Grocery (food storage), Payless Shoe (walk in someone else's shoes-judging). We all got a small shopping bag and received a handout or small gift at each class. Lastly, we all took home a credit card that said Master In Charge with the scripture: John 15:5. This turned out to be one of the best enrichment activities we've had. Such a fun night, just wanted to share the idea.
